Artist Spotlight: John Tindall

A week ago, I attended the AsiaPOP Comicon Manila for the first time. I came across a sea of cosplayers, gamers, artists and I was amazed by everything. There were a lot of different booths there to visit but one of my favorites was John Tindall’s “Imo’s World”.

In fact, I liked it so much that I ended up buying both Book 1 and Book 2. Most of you know that I have a thing for cute comic books and drawings so you could imagine how excited I was when I saw John Tindall’s booth.

I finished reading both of them last night and they were amazing. I’m not going to spoil all the details for those of you who haven’t read them yet, but I will talk a bit about my overall review of both books.

Imo’s World Book 1:

Now the first book is basically filled with short stories about Imo, Buck and Phil, giving us some ideas about who and what they are and some background stories. It also consists of new stories “The Gr8 Witch” & “Dreams”.  The whole book was funny and the story line was very good. It also kind of made me a bit sad. The book has “feels” on it which I didn’t expect. (you have to read the book to know what it is hehehe)

Imo’s World Book 2:

“The second book for Imo’s World. This time, we jump straight into the story continuing from “The Gr8 Witch” chapter in the first Imo’s World Book. The discovery of the Gr8 Witch has forced her into hiding and leaves an important message behind. Imo and his best friends run into trouble when a warlock, Lord Brendan tracks and finds them.” – John Tindall

This book really made me happy. I finished reading this book in under an hour. It was 72 pages of pure laughter and adventure same as the first book. I honestly just want to talk about everything that happened but I also don’t want to spoil it all for you guys!

So, who is John Tindall?

John is from Australia and I got the chance to meet him at Comicon which was really awesome. I first found out about John Tindall and Imo’s World from a friend who follows him on Facebook and Instagram. My friend went crazy when he found out I met John and bought both of his books! (don’t worry, I’ll let you borrow)

Overall, I really love Imo’s World. It’s funny, it’s sad, it’s heartwarming, it has awesome characters and the story is great! I honestly can’t wait for Book 3!

Go visit John Tindall’s website and follow him on his social media accounts!
